​I am the holistic macro-designer who thoughtfully contributes to every discussion, but during production I am the micro-designer who knows that details make a game memorable.

I believe the core skill of game designers is communication, and that the best designers are well-rounded and thoughtful game consumers with broad experience across the medium. After decades of playing games of all kinds, and years of analyzing them, creating new systems and mechanics, and writing or editing both as a career and as a means of exploring my passions for gaming and story, I am ready to design. Creating experiences that resonate with my audience is what keeps me motivated and engaged week after week.



The following pages are three of my game projects. I co-designed and implemented Ozymandias with another designer, but Shroud Isle and Sacrifice are wholly my own creations.
